George Clooney has already marked his card as a director of real talent to watch. He also acts in this particular film, but generously leaves centre stage to the superb David Strathairn. A thought-provoking film that is a reminder of how history repeats itself. This film is a salutary reminder that government sometimes needs reminding of what liberty and freedom are all about.

Set in the 1950s and based on true events, Strathairn plays news reporter Edward R. Murrow, who finds himself increasingly uncomfortable with the tactics used by Junior Senator Joseph McCarthy (of whom Clooney chooses to use real archive footage rather than getting an actor to play his role). The film finds McCarthy in the midst of his infamous crusade against communism, and Strathairn and Clooney lead the CBS news team who choose to report the other side of the story. Naturally, this ruffles more than a few feathers, and the film follows the investigation as it goes about stirring up a proverbial hornet’s nest.

Hollywood arrives en force to Quincy, the small town where the secret Crown Cola billionaires live. They want to film about the billionaires and how they made their fortunes.. Summer Jenkins, who was the town pariah, joins forces with the scout, Ben, and finds filming locations, extras, liasons with the town officials and house owners, etc. When Cole Masten arrives, they hate each other, but sparks fly. Cole is running from a nasty divorce, yet is captivated by Summer. Summer is dying to leave town to get away from the gossip. This is a great story about Southern customs, a Southern girl, and a Hollywood star who finds his lady.

Little is known about the story so far, other than a synopsis provided by Mattel:
“Join the Monster High ghouls on an all new aquatic adventure as they dive deep into the crystal deep blue waters of the Great Scarrier Reef. She must confront her childhood nemesis and bully, come to terms with her own freaky flaws, win an aquatic dance extravaganza, and fight a terrible beast from the deep. So take the plunge – you won’t believe what awaits you under the waves!”

The 1950s. Manhattan lavatory attendant, Tom Ripley, borrows a Princeton jacket to play piano at a garden party. When the wealthy father of a recent Princeton grad chats Tom up, Tom pretends to know the son and is soon offered $1,000 to go to Italy to convince Dickie Greenleaf to return home. In Italy, Tom attaches himself to Dickie and to Marge, Dickie’s cultured fiancée, pretending to love jazz and harboring homoerotic hopes as he soaks in luxury. Besides lying, Tom’s talents include impressions and forgery, so when the handsome and confident Dickie tires of Tom, dismissing him as a bore, Tom goes to extreme lengths to make Greenleaf’s privileges his own.

A small town with secrets is terrorized by a demonic entity. As madness reigns questions are answered.

Brilliant LAPD detective Charlie Crews has survived the extreme abuse befalling an innocent cop in prison, and was exonerated for the murders and released after 12 years of hell in jail. He could retire on his settlement, but chooses to resume police work. Nevertheless, the grim experience has made him more philosophical and tempted to put justice – especially for the innocent – above chasing the presumably guilty and legally by-the-book, as his new partner Dani Reese must experience and learn to cope with.
You’re gonna love this extremely funny film noir spoof, I can only say that this movie is one of the biggest surprises in the Action/ Thriller/ Comedy Genre in the last years. Without a doubt this is truly a highly entertaining film. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang has a certain something which the murder mystery genre tends to lack – a sense of fun. So much so, that you will be crying with laughter!

While fleeing from the cops, small time hood Harry Lockhart (Robert Downey Jr.) stumbles into an acting audition–and does so well he gets taken to Hollywood, where–pursuing a girl he loved in high school – he gets caught up in twisty murder mystery. His only chance of getting out alive is a private detective named Gay Perry , who sidelights as a consultant for movies. No plot turn goes untweaked by Black’s clever, witty script, and Downey, Kilmer, and Monaghan clearly have a ball playing their screwball variations on action movie stereotypes.
