The Drop follows Wanda and Leon (from the original Snowfall series), who are now fighting to reinvent themselves in ’90s Los Angeles, where the fallout from the crack epidemic is fueling a new game: the rise of West Coast rap.

Wanda wants to break into L.A.’s booming rap scene. She stakes her future on her cousin, Lamar, and a rising rapper, Artillery. Leon warns Wanda of the danger of the music business.
