When a woman seeking advice about an abusive husband is found dead, recipe advice columnist Tannie Maria, and her colleague, rookie journalist Jessie, spring into action, determined to solve this small town Karoo murder and catch the killer. Big city cop Khaya and his team of local police officers always find themselves just slightly behind the detecting duo, as the investigation takes us through an array of unlikely suspects.

As more evidence emerges of Jaco robbing various crime scenes, Regardt confronts and arrests his brother; a frustrated Maria faces severe repercussions after breaking into Marius Rabie’s office.

Maria breaks into Marius Rabie’s office and is arrested for breaking and entering. Her worst fear has now become a reality, she has officially lost half her stake in her home to Aileen. Meanwhile Jessie breaks up with Regardt.

Tannie Maria sees food as “medicine for the body and heart”. She envies romance as much as she enjoys cooking and eating. But it’s death that shakes up Tannie Maria’s life, when one of the correspondents to her column is brutally murdered.
