The story of the most fabled political family in American history! The controversial miniseries will world premiere on April 3 2011 on the ReelzChannel.

The Kennedys is an upcoming eight-hour mini-series chronicling the lives of the famous Kennedy family and the tragedies they have suffered. It stars Greg Kinnear, Katie Holmes, Barry Pepper, and Tom Wilkinson among others and is directed by Jon Cassar. The mini-series is scheduled to premie`re in the UK on 7 April, and on History Television in Canada on 10 April 2011. The mini-series was to be broadcast on History in the U.S. however in January 2011 it was announced that the U.S. History channel will not show the series. After various other broadcasters declined to pick up the mini-series, the U.S. rights were purchased by ReelzChannel.
